Today at a glance (trash days, umbrella or heat warnings, reminders), the door state, a lock button, and a view of the home’s own auto-unlock with “cancel this time” and “pause”.

For guests

A pass for the length of the visit: Wi-Fi, guest-room lights, a guide in your language and “ask the host”. It ends on its own when the visit is over.

No unlock button. Anywhere.

Home mate can lock the door and show its state. Unlocking stays with the home’s own guarded automations in Home Assistant.

Self-hosted

Data stays in the household’s own hub and Home Assistant. This site is static: it hosts the guest page, the Wi-Fi card maker and app links, nothing else.

For hosts: a Wi-Fi card

Print a card with a Wi-Fi QR code. Guests scan it with the phone camera and tap Join, no typing. The card is made in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
